About 2-3 thousand people are holding a rally near the Verkhovna Rada with a demand not to open the land market, - correspondent of OstroV reports.
They brought the posters "No sale of land to the oligarchs", "Do not sell the Motherland", "No to speculators on land".
The main demand of farmers is to prevent the inclusion on the agenda of draft law No.2178-10 "On Amending Certain Legislative Acts Concerning the Turnover of Agricultural Land", which opens the land market.
According to them, the bill allows the purchase of agricultural land by legal entities, the founders of which are foreign citizens.
