More than 200 prosecutors of the Prosecutor General's Office, who did not submit an application of intention to pass certification and work in the Office of the Attorney General, will be dismissed. This is reported by the press service of the PGOU.

"218 prosecutors of the GPOU did not submit the application of intention to pass certification and work in the new prosecution bodies. Thus, they refused certification for transfer to the Office of the Prosecutor General", - the report said.

It is noted that this number also included prosecutors who filed applications. Not meeting the established form. They are subject to dismissal in accordance with the law.

At the same time, 11 277 prosecutors (1082 of them in the PGOU), that is, more than 96%, "filed such applications in accordance with the established standard form".

According to the Law of Ukraine "On Amending Certain Legislative Acts of Ukraine Regarding Priority Measures for Reforming the Prosecutor's Office", which entered into force on September 25, 2019, prosecutors can be transferred to new prosecutorial bodies only if they successfully pass the certification.

Certification of prosecutors is to verify professional competencies and compliance with the requirements of professional ethics and integrity.
