In the course of census, occupation authorities of the "DNR" intend to identify who of the residents of the occupied part of Donetsk oblast works beyond the "border of the republic".

This is evidenced by the content of the "census form" promulgated by the separatists.

It is noted that the census taker will take an interest in how far the interviewee's work is. If a person does not work in the locality of his/her residence, he/she must indicate the location of his/her work, including the "foreign state".

In addition, during the census, the occupiers will try to identify the estimated number of internally displaced persons who have returned to the uncontrolled territories. To find out this, the questionnaire includes the question: "Where did you live in October 2018?".

OstroV has earlier reported that in the course of census in the "DNR", the census takers would find out in detail the sources of income of those living in the occupation zone.

The "census form" contains 25 questions, which are grouped in the following sections: gender; date of birth; place of birth; marital status; citizenship; nationality; education and training; language proficiency; livelihood sources; employment and unemployment; migration; for women - the number of children born and the date of birth of the first child.

As previously reported, occupation power of the "DNR" and in "LNR" intends to conduct a population census from October 1 to 14 of this year and from September 4 to October 18 respectively. According to preliminary estimates, this event for residents of the "Donetsk republic" will cost $4.6 million, and $2.2 – for the Luhansk. These expenses will be defrayed by Russia.
