Forensic Architecture discovers new evidence of participation of Russian troops in Donbass war

New evidence of participation of the Russian army in the war in eastern Ukraine, in particular in the battles for Ilovaisk, was discovered by a group of Forensic Architecture investigators from London. This is reported by Liga.net with reference to The Guardian.

It is reported that the investigators received numerous images showing columns of Russian military equipment in Ukraine and T-72B3 tanks, which at that time were used only by the Russian army.

The investigators took advantage of special software that made it possible to quickly analyze 2500 hours of videos posted by residents of the region on YouTube during the fighting.

It is noted that the discovered data will be used as evidence when considering the claim of Ukraine against Russia in the European Court of Human Rights.

As previously reported, on August 23-24, 2014, the Russian army invaded Ukraine as part of several battalion-tactical groups in several sectors of the front, what ultimately led to the formation of the Ilovaisk mousetrap and fierce battles in the Donbass with the greatest losses of personnel and equipment of the ATO forces for the time of the Russian-Ukrainian war.

The ratio of the ATO forces to the Russian troops and collaborators was: personnel - 1 to 18, tanks - 1 to 11, armored vehicles - 1 to 16, artillery - 1 to 15, and Grads - 1 to 24.

On August 29, the occupiers fired point-blank at the ATO forces columns leaving the green corridor promised by the occupiers, having killed at least 366 people and having injured 429. 300 soldiers were captured. Loss of weapons and military equipment amounted to about $12 million. At least 36 civilians were killed, about 600 houses were destroyed.
