Shokin submitted his resignation statement to the PA – Tsegolko

Prosecutor General Victor Shokin’s resignation statement was submitted to the Presidential Administration today. The press secretary of the head of the state Svyatoslav Tsegolko wrote about that on his Twitter page.

"Prosecutor General Viktor Shokin wrote a resignation statement. It was submitted to the the Presidential Administration today. I have seen it myself," – he wrote.

As previously reported, President Poroshenko called on Victor Shokin to resign from the post of Prosecutor General. Poroshenko also stressed the need for "total reformatting of the Cabinet of Ministers" on February 16^th.
