President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky has held a telephone conversation today with Russian President Vladimir Putin. This was announced at a briefing in Kyiv today by the head of the Ukrainian state, - correspondent of OstroV reports.

"This morning I talked with Russian President Vladimir Putin about this (death of 4 Ukrainian servicemen, - OstroV). I called him urgently and said that this does not bring us closer to the truce. I beg you to influence that side so that they stop killing our people", - he said.

The second question, which, according to Zelensky, he raised during his conversation with Putin, is a reduction in the terms of construction of bridge in Stanytsia Luhanska.

"There are a few more questions that I raised. This is the return of our prisoners ... It was a long conversation. I say that our people are being killed, and they tell me that there are some details where our people shoot at civilians. You know, everyone says they want peace, but apart from words, we should move very quickly", - the president noted.

Zelensky also added that a telephone conversation with French President Emmanuel Macron should be held in Turkey today.

Зеленский также добавил, что сегодня в Турции должен состояться телефонный разговор с президентом Франции Эмманюэлем Макроном.

As previously reported, four Ukrainian soldiers died under the militants' fire in the Donbass on August 6.

A "grain truce" began in Donbass since July 21, providing for an unlimited ban on any firing.
