At the talks in Minsk on July 17, an agreement to hold the exchange of prisoners as soon as possible was reached. This is reported by Darka Olifer, press secretary of the Ukrainian representative at the talks, Leonid Kuchma, on her Facebook.
"At the humanitarian subgroup, we have confirmed the whereabouts of 69 Ukrainian citizens whose release we have been seeking. There are 208 people in Ukraine's prisons, who have been requested by the other side. We have agreed to work within the shortest period of time in two parallel directions: legal clearance and preparation for the mutual release of vetted individuals and further confirmation of the persons held", - Olifer noted.
She also noted that "the socio-economic subgroup is working to ensure the uninterrupted power and water supply that civilians need from both sides of the contact line".
"There are positive developments in ensuring sustainable mobile communications throughout the Donbass territory", - Olifer concluded.
