National Security and Defense Council reacts to idea of binge-watching of NewsOne with Russian propaganda channel

Ukraine is being offered to "unite" the internal Kremlin propaganda with its branch in Kyiv and present it as a "breakthrough" in relations between the "fraternal" nations. This was stated by the NSDC Secretary Oleksandr Danylyuk on Facebook.

"Is it necessary to talk? Well, it is a cheap manipulation to compare this misunderstanding with the USA-USSR teleconference in 1986 between different ideologies and propaganda machines. Now we are offered to "unite" the intra-Kremlin propaganda with its branch in Kyiv and present it as a "breakthrough" in the relations between the "fraternal" peoples. I ask you to stop the hysteria, especially among those who contributed to the strengthening of Medvedchuk's position in Ukraine in the past years from the position of the President, who gave him the opportunity to act as negotiator, to buy TV channels on the partner conditions. Those who allowed him to build super-profitable energy resources business under the same conditions. It was obvious that Medvedchuk does this not as a hobby. Construction of illegal "bridges" has already become Russia's specialisation", - Danylyuk noted.

He believes that Ukraine's response should be confident, without emotions and panic. "The calculation is just for this. The number of such provocations will only increase. We need to keep our heads cold. Let us work on solutions", - Danylyuk emphasized.

As previously reported, the NewsOne TV channel, which is part of the media group of Viktor Medvedchuk, and the Russian state propaganda channel intend to hold a joint binge-watching "We Need to Talk" on July 12.
