NewsOne TV channel, which is part of the media group of Viktor Medvedchuk, and the Russian state propaganda channel intend to hold a joint binge-watching "We Need to Talk" on July 12.

Responding to outraged comments from the public, the leadership of the NewsOne TV channel explained on its website the decision made "by the importance of dialogue between the peoples of Ukraine and Russia".

The NewsOne management gives reasons for the need for a joint binge-watching with the Russian propaganda channel by a manipulative statement that, allegedly, about 70% of people in Ukraine are waiting for direct political talks with Russia.

"We need to talk" is a binge-watching between ordinary people of Ukraine and Russia: without politics and politicians. Everyone, for his part, should take a step to end the war", - the statement of the NewsOne TV channel said.

The European Solidarity and Voice parties and Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman made statements in protest on this subject. They called on the SBU, NSDC, National Council of TV and Radio Broadcasting and President Volodymyr Zelensky to give a legal evaluation of what is happening and take appropriate measures.
