Ukrainian military takes new positions in area of Marinka

Soldiers of the 24th Separate Mechanized Brigade named after King Danylo have made a new lodgement in the area of Marinka, - Army FM reports.

"The brigade's intelligence officers entered the so-called grey zone in order to improve their tactical position - to shift their depth from the local population. This plan was developed by the brigade's command and the high command. They planned and developed everything in details and fulfilled it", - press officer of the brigade Nazar Ilnytsky told

According to him, this is important, first of all, for the safety of the population, who lives in the frontline zones. Now the residents of Marinka will be much further away from the line of contact.

"It also improves our position, from here, it is better to watch the enemy and control his actions. Each, even a small victory, motivates the fighters, motivates their spirit. They understand that they are not standing still, but they return our lands bit by bit. In fact, it is very motivating", - Ilnytsky noted.

It is noted that there is practically no so-called grey zone in Marinka. The distance to the temporarily occupied Oleksandrivka and Donetsk now ranges from 100 to 250 meters.
