President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky has submitted bill on the impeachment of president to the Verkhovna Rada on Wednesday, May 29, 2019. This was stated by presidential representative in the Verkhovna Rada Ruslan Stefanchuk, - RBC-Ukraine reports.

According to him, the removal of the president from office by the impeachment procedure should be a separate bill.

"A bill on the removal of president from office - impeachment, was submitted to the Verkhovna Rada. The given promise was fulfilled… There is no such bill as we have", - Stefanchuk stated.

Also, the representative of the head of state in the parliament recalled the need for a law on the abolition of the immunity of people's deputies.

"Along with this bill, the President's appeal is sent to the Verkhovna Rada again so that the VR does not forget that it has a draft that repeals parliamentary immunity. It would be honest if we had passed these two projects together", - he added.

"Today you know that the issue of impeachment is regulated by the regulations of the Verkhovna Rada. It is processed by them overnight to enter the draft law on the provisional investigatory commission. Moreover, there are a number of other bills. But there is no complete draft law on impeachment as a procedure in the Rada. Why should it be a separate bill? Because it is a separate procedure, and we cannot hide it in the regulations (the law "On the Verkhovna Rada regulations", - ed.)", - the presidential representative in the Rada emphasized.

As previously reported, deputy head of the Petro Poroshenko Bloc faction Oleksiy Honcharenko stated that he had registered a bill on the impeachment of president in the Verkhovna Rada.
