One Ukrainian soldier goes missing in Donbass - JF

One of the servicemen went missing at the time of attack by the sabotage and reconnaissance group of the militants in Donbass. This is reported by the press center of the Joint Forces.

It is noted that in order to check the mine barrier of the battalion defense area of one of the mechanized brigades, which keeps defense in the area of responsibility of the tactical group North, the group of sappers moved into the security zone.

"During the fulfillment of the combat mission, our engineer unit was attacked by the enemy sabotage and reconnaissance group consisting of nine militants. In the course of battle, the Ukrainian soldiers repulsed the enemy attack with intense and concentrated fire… Unfortunately, one of the servicemen of the sapper group went missing during the shelling", - the report said.

Search activities are ongoing.

According to preliminary data, two militants were destroyed during the fire clash, another one was wounded. The enemy used 120 mm mortars prohibited by the Minsk agreements to cover the stepback of their group.
