"Our first task is ceasefire in Donbass": Zelensky is ready to lose rating, but not territories

The first task is to ensure ceasefire in the Donbass. President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky made such statement from the rostrum of the Verkhovna Rada.

"I was asked often: what I am willing to do to end the war in Donbass? Everything! I am ready to lose my popularity, my ratings, I am ready to leave my post in order for peace to come", - he said.

"Without losing our territories. Never! History is not fair. We did not start this war – but we should end this war. And we are ready for a dialogue, but the first step will be the return of all Ukrainian prisoners, the second step is the return of all the lost territories", - the president noted.
