About 415 persons involved in the activities of illegal armed formations were announced suspicion from the beginning of the Joint Forces Operation in the Donbas. This was reported by commander of the Joint Forces, Lieutenant-General Serhiy Nayev at a briefing in Kramatorsk on May 2.

"1358 persons were detained, 415 of them were suspected of participating in illegal armed formations", - Serhiy Nayev said.

In total, over 4 million citizens and more than 2 million vehicles were checked at stationary and mobile checkpoints by the National Guard and National Police during the JFO.

As previously reported, creation by the Russian Federation of full-fledged military commands at the level of army corps on the territory of CADLO and their inclusion in the eighth combined army of the Southern Military District led to the reformatting of Anti-Terrorist Operation into a military Operation of the Joint Forces. The reformatting process was completed on April 30, 2018.
