Founder of the terrorist Vostok Battalion Alexander Khodakovsky believes that it is necessary to create a poorer than Ukraine, but attractive society in the occupied territories of Donbass. He spoke about this in a propaganda interview with one of the Russian media.

According to him, the "DNR" should become a model for the rest of Ukraine. "We should create a poorer, but more attractive society than in Ukraine", - he state without specifying what the attraction of the so-called "republic" would be.

Instead, he criticized the current authorities of the "DNR", having noted that currently, the "DNR" creates an appearance of attractiveness. "They took a piece of clay and wrapped it in a beautiful cover. Some organizations are being created, youth parliaments, public chambers… When something happens, people are assigned to various events", - he recalls about the realities of life in the occupation.

Alexander Khodakovsky is a former SBU employee who betrayed the oath from the first days of the Russian hybrid war against Ukraine and became one of the leaders of the Donbass terrorists. He created and headed the Vostok Battalion. He is currently removed from all official posts in the "DPR". He was in confrontation with the now-deceased Alexander Zakharchenko. He is an ideologist of the Donbass joining Russia. In the autumn of 2017, he announced his desire to compete for the position of "head of the republic" in the "regular election". Having faced a harsh reaction of the occupation authorities on his opposition and ambitiousness, Khodakovsky left the "DNR" boundaries in the spring of 2018 and stopped his publicistic activities for a while. After the liquidation of leader of the "republic" Alexander Zakharchenko, he hurried to draw attention to himself again, but he was not even released from Russia to the occupied territory, where he intended to take part in the leader's election.
