Russian President Vladimir Putin is going to massively provide Russian citizenship to residents of the occupied territories of Donbass. This is reported by Russian terrorist Igor Girkin (Strelkov) on his page in social networks.

According to him, first of all, the representatives of the "DNR/LNR" occupation authorities and local security officials will receive passports of the Russian Federation. Then will be a massive distribution of Russian citizenship.

"According to trustworthy information, from the beginning of April, a series of presidential decrees will be issued, significantly simplifying the acquisition of citizenship by certain categories of foreign citizens". Residents of the republics will fall into one of these categories", - Girkin writes.

"The procedure will be significantly simplified and shortened in time. First of all, the military, police and officials will receive the passports en masse. Perhaps, most of them will be included in the process during April-May (preparations are already underway in the republics, what I was repeatedly reported about recently)", - he assures.

According to the terrorist, there are pros and cons in granting Russian citizenship to all residents of the occupied territories. "An undoubted plus is that many people will receive certain guarantees for the future and easier access to the territory of the Russian Federation. Minus - if the socio-economic situation does not change - mass flight of the Russian population from the Donbass will only increase", - Girkin predicts.

Earlier, similar information, also referring to reliable sources, was voiced by creator of the terrorist Vostok Battalion Alexander Khodakovsky.

"A few words about the issuance of Russian passports to residents of the "LDNR", who have the "republican" passports, the beginning of which persistent rumors have already appointed on April 1. Numerous sources indirectly confirm this intention of the Russian authorities", - he reported.

At the same time, he warned those who wished to receive the Russian citizenship that, in the case of passporting of the population, residents of the occupied Donbass would not receive a full-fledged document.

"This will not be a full-fledged passport of the Russian state, allowing you to use all the possibilities of a Russian citizen - this will be an analogue of the Crimean passport during the first months of joining: these passports will be recognized nowhere in the world", - he admits.
