Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman will instruct Naftogaz to begin discussion with the IMF on preventing further price increases for gas. He reported this in the Verkhovna Rada today during an hour of questions to the government, - correspondent of OstroV reports.

"Naftogaz stated yesterday that it imports gas cheaper. I strongly support it, we have a limit price of gas at $0.32, and they say that it is possible to avoid further increases. I think this is what we need and what I required is to buy imported gas cheaper", - he reported.

The prime minister noted that he would instruct Naftogaz and the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine to begin negotiations with the IMF on preventing the increase in gas prices.

"Today I will instruct Naftogaz of Ukraine, together with the Ministry of Finance, to start working discussion with the International Monetary Fund in order to resolve this issue and prevent a rise in gas prices, based on the proposals of Naftogaz of Ukraine", - V.Groysman said.

Earlier, head of the board of Naftogaz Andriy Kobolyev suggested that the government consider the possibility of full liberalization of natural gas supplies for all categories of consumers from April 1, 2019, what will make it possible not to raise the price of gas.
