The UN Human Rights Monitoring Mission in Ukraine recorded 279 victims of the conflict among civilian population in the Donbass in 2018. This is stated in the report of the UN Human Rights Monitoring Mission, presented in Kyiv today - Interfax-Ukraine reports.

According to the report, there were 279 civilian casualties in 2018, in particular, 55 dead and 224 injured.

"This is two times less than the number of civilian casualties in 2017 and the lowest annual figure for the entire period of the conflict", - the report said.

During the reporting period, which covers the period from November 16, 2018 to February 15, 2019, the lowest number of civilian casualties was recorded for all periods. In particular, two people were killed, another 11 men and 3 women were injured.
