The accusations of Ukraine of "international terrorism", put forward by the Investigation Committee of Russia, are made with "taking into account the political processes and interests of the Ukrainian authorities". This is stated on the official website of the Investigation Committee of the Russian Federation.

It is reported that the Investigation Committee of Russia opened a criminal case on the fact of three explosions in the center of the occupied Donetsk on February 18.

"On February 18, 2019, in the residence area of "head" of the "self-proclaimed Donetsk People's Republic" in Donetsk and hotel, where staff of the Special Monitoring Mission of international observers (the OSCE SMM in Ukraine) live, three explosive devices were put into action", - the message said.

According to Russian investigators, these explosions put "the life and health of civilians at risk", violated the "normal activities of representatives of the OSCE SMM".

"Investigating" the incident that occurred in the temporarily occupied territory of the sovereign state of Ukraine, the Investigation Committee of Russia decided that "taking into account political processes and interests of the Ukrainian authorities, the study of the facts suggests that the actions of the persons who committed this crime were aimed at destabilizing the situation in conflict areas in order to disrupt the peaceful coexistence of nations".

The accusations of the Investigation Committee of Russian Federation almost literally repeat the comment of the Information and Press Department of the Russian MFA. "Kyiv deliberately continues to "defreeze" the situation in the region, trying to intimidate itsresidents. All this fits into the logic of the growing electoral campaign of P.Poroshenko whose main goal is to shift the voter's attention from problems… to military actions in the Donbass", - it said.

As previously reported, three explosions thundered in the center of Donetsk on February 18. According to the occupation authorities, shell-less improvised explosive devices, wrapped in copper foil and having no damaging elements, were blown up. No information was provided on who and for what purpose laid these devices in the so-called "government quarter", which was carefully guarded by the militants.
