Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko has announced his speech about the situation in the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine at a session of the UN General Assembly. He said this today during his visit to Kharkiv.

"In less than a week, I will be in New York reporting from the rostrum of the UN General Assembly for the first time on the situation in occupied territories, demanding protection for the territorial integrity and independence of Ukraine", - he reported.

According to the president, Russian occupation has caused not only human suffering, but a serious blow to the Ukrainian industry as well.

"I would like to remind: the systematic and purposeful displacement of Ukrainian enterprises from the Russian market had begun not since 2014, but since the beginning of 2000", - Petro Poroshenko noted.
