About 50% of residents of the controlled territory of Donbass are ready for peace at any costs. This was said at a press conference in Kyiv today by analyst of the Ilko Kucheriv Democratic Initiatives Foundation Serhiy Shapovalov, presenting the results of a social research, - correspondent of OstroV reports.

"We asked our respondents whether it was necessary to make compromises with Russia and leaders of the self-proclaimed republics to achieve peace. The majority of residents think that it is necessary. In general, only 16% of residents in Ukraine think that it is necessary to agree with everything. 46% of the Donbass residents are ready for peace at any costs, that is, to accept compromises that will not benefit Ukraine", - he reported.

For example, the residents of Donbass consider consolidation of the special status of CADLO in the Constitution of Ukraine to be acceptable.

"A similar picture is preserved for the entire eastern and southern regions", - S.Shapovalov noted.

Residents of Donbass called amnesty for all participants in the hostilities on the part of CADLO, holding local elections on the militant terms and forming local law enforcement agencies in the occupied territories from the local representatives as the most unacceptable compromises.
