The so-called "Russian volunteers" came to the occupied Donbass with weapons and were guilty of killing people. Russian propagandist Zakhar Prilepin admitted this in an interview with the 66.ru Yekaterinburg web portal.

Personally taking part in the illegal armed formations of the "DNR", he told that some Russians who fought on the side of separatists came to the Donbass with weapons. He did not specify how the Russian border and customs service let in armed people.

At the same time, the militant admitted that from the point of view of the law, even Russian, he and other volunteers are considered to be criminals.

"I am pro-Russian fighter from the Donbass. Thirty thousand people illegally came there from Russia as volunteers. Some took their weapons with them… and killed people. We all had to do with it. From the point of view of the law, we all can be put away", - he told, happily stating that Russian laws do not work in relation to the occupiers in the Donbass.

"So I cannot say "oh, how bad it is that the laws do not work". Because otherwise, I have to surrender", - the Russian militant concluded.

According to him, the indulgence of the "volunteers" was personally discharged by Russian President Vladimir Putin. Answering a journalist's question why he and other "volunteers" in Russia are not being prosecuted for mercenary, Prilepin replied: "Because at the very beginning, Putin went to the temple and placed a candle for Donbass pro-Russian fighters".

"That is, the king said not to put away? ", - the journalist specified. "This is exactly what I am talking to you about", - the Russian propagandist confirmed.
