Viktor Medvedchuk has acknowledged that the "DNR" leaders were following instructions coming from Moscow from the very beginning of the so-called Russian Spring. This was told by one of the leaders of the Opposition Platform – For Life in an interview with the 112 channel.

Viktor Medvedchuk told how in May 2014, he visited Donetsk for talks with leadership of the separatists on the instructions of acting President of Ukraine Oleksandr Turchynov. Russian mercenary and terrorist Alexander Borodai, who headed the "DNR", did not want to meet with representatives of the Ukrainian authorities. However, after Medvedchuk's call to Moscow, the separatists agreed to hold the talks.

"I took Nestor Shufrych, it was the middle of May, just after the "referendum on independence" on the 11th (imitation of the people's will regarding recognition of the "DNR" – OstroV)…. I say - I want to come, I want to meet. "No", - they answer. In short, they were playing games with me for 2 or 3 days. Naturally, I called to Moscow. After that, they say: "Come…", - the politician clearly indicated the command center for decision-making by the leaders of the "young republic".

As previously reported, Viktor Medvedchuk stated the need to create the so-called "Donbass autonomous region" with its own government and parliament.
