Militants fired provocatively at Maryenka checkpoint when civilians were there, - reports the press-service of the State Border Service of Ukraine.

"Yesterday militants fired provocatively with AGS-17 at Maryenka checkpoint from Aleksandrovka, which is on the uncontrolled territories. Grenades exploded close to the checkpoint, where civilians were,"- said the statement.

Border guards immediately organized evacuation of the population in order to avoid casualties among the people. None of the people who were at the checkpoint was injured.
The border agency reminded that in late January,militants fired at Maryenka checkpoint late with AGS-17 and APC but then there were no civilians.

"This time they did not pay attention to the people who  were passing the line of demarcation, also with children," - said the statement.

The provocative shelling and evacuation of people were recorded on the camera, which are placed at the checkpoint.
