Unrecognized football. National team of "DNR" will play with Padania and "LNR" - with Lapland in "European Championships"

Football teams created in the occupied part of Donbass will take part in the so-called "European Championships" among the unrecognized states under the auspices of ConIFA (Confederation of Independent Football Associations). This is reported by separatist media.

It is noted that the drawing was held on Sunday, according to the results of which the "LNR" team will play with the non-existent "state" of Lapland and Nagorno-Karabakh.

National team of the "DNR" will play with virtual "states" called Sardinia and Padania.

In addition to the aforementioned teams, teams of Abkhazia, Nice, South Ossetia, Székely Land and Western Armenia will take part in the "EC-2019".

The championships itself will be held from June 1 to 16, 2019 in Stepanakert (Nagorno-Karabakh).

"Of course, this is not Euro 2012, but still", - residents of Donetsk, who had seen international and European-level football before the occupation, mocked on social networks.

As follows from the list of participants, by and large, it is not even unrecognized states which will take part in the tournament, but the phantom "state entities" that exist only in the fantasies of individual separatist politicians.

For example, the Padania national team is an unofficial football team, supported by the Northern League Italian party, which represents no country. The national team of Lapland is an unofficial Sámi football team, who live in northern Norway, Sweden, Finland and Russia. national team of Székely Land consists of ethnic Hungarians living in Romania. The Székely Land positions itself as the unrecognized national-territorial autonomy of the Székelys (Hungarians of Romania).
