The rise in fuel prices in the Russian-occupied territory of Donetsk oblast can be restrained solely because fuel and lubricants purchased in December at the old prices are on sale. "Minister of revenues and duties of the DNR" Yevgeniy Lavrenov told this in an interview with separatist media. It is clear from the interview with the "minister" that this resource for controlling fuel prices is drawing to an end. In order to somehow prevent a rise in the cost of fuel, the minister told, the "DNR" leader Denis Pushilin "instructed the "ministry of revenues and duties" to calculate losses in the event of complete abolition of the import duty".

The so-called "Minister of revenues and duties of the DNR" Yevgeniy Lavrenov lied that the occupation authorities did not make a decision on imposing a 50% duty on flour imported from the occupied Donbass from Russia. In fact, the 50% duty on imported flour was adopted by a resolution of the "DNR Government" of December 27, 2018. This information is contained in the "Customs and logistics portal".

Occupation authorities of the "DNR" abolish or reduce protective duties in order to somehow stop the process of rising food prices. This was stated by "Minister of revenues and duties" Yevgeniy Lavrenov in an interview with separatist media. He explained the price hike in the "republic" by a snowy winter, due to which the cost of delivery increased by 40-50%, what negatively affected the final cost of food and other goods. Speaking of ways to reduce prices, the "minister" acknowledged that this can be achieved only by canceling or lowering protective duties on products imported from Russia.

In the occupied Donetsk, employees of the Shchehlovska-Hlyboka mine were given $0.06 and $0.09 each as salary. The miners write this in social networks. "Donetsk, Shchehlovska-Hlyboka mine, people were transferred $0.06 (!) and $0.09 salaries… These transfers are an indicator of life and salaries in the republic", - the author of one of the posts wrote. People are sharing screenshots of the allowances in social networks. The largest flow of funds was from one of the workers of this mine, who was transferred $0.17 twice.
