The next wave of mobilization of the Armed Forces of Ukraine will be held in late March or early April 2016. This was stated by Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Viktor Muzhenko during the meeting with foreign military attaches today, - informs Radio Svoboda.

According to Muzhenko, the number of military personnel, who have expressed a desire to serve under contract, is constantly increasing in the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

"Today 2.5 thousand contractors are already registered and being trained, some are doing military service. About 4.5 thousand are compiling documents. That is, since January 1st, as of February 8th, 6000 people have expressed desire (to serve under contract - Ed.)," - he said.

"The more contractors we have got, the less people we need to mobilize," - added Muzhenko.

As previously reported, the Ukrainian Defense Minister Stepan Poltorak said that the military were considering the need for the seventh wave of mobilization and the General Staff did calculations on January 21st.
