Ukraine restricts entry for Russian citizens: men from 16 to 60 years old are not allowed

Ukraine does not allow men - citizens of the Russian Federation at the age of 16 to 60 years, to enter its territory because of the imposed martial law. This was stated by head of the State Border Service Petro Tsyhikal at a meeting with President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko.

According to him, control measures for foreigners at the checkpoints have been strengthened.

"First of all, in relation to the citizens of the Russian Federation. Male citizens of the Russian Federation at the age of 16 to 60 years are not allowed", - Tsyhikal stated.

At the same time, he added that if citizens of the Russian Federation go to Ukraine for humanitarian reasons, for example, to a funeral or for other humanitarian purposes, they are let through.

In the evening of November 26, the Verkhovna Rada imposed martial law in 10 oblasts of the country for 30 days.
