Organizers of fake elections in CADLO are facing a life sentence - prosecutor's office

Participants in the organization and holding of fake "elections" in CADLO on November 11 are facing life imprisonment. It is reported on Facebook by the press service of the prosecutor's office of Donetsk oblast.

This is not about the voters, but about those who organize and hold these pseudo-elections.

"Under the procedural guidance of the prosecutor's office of Donetsk oblast, general directorate of the Security Service of Ukraine in the Donetsk and Luhansk oblast initiated criminal proceedings on the grounds of criminal offense under Part 3 of Article 110 (violation of foreign territorial supremacy and inviolability of Ukraine) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine", - the report said.

The prosecutor's office established that from February 20, 2014, Russia, using its armed formations, irregular illegal armed formations, armed gangs and groups of mercenaries created, subordinated, controlled and funded by the Russian Federation, carried out through armed aggression "illegal and deliberate actions aimed at violation of sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine, change of the boundaries of its territory and state border in violation of the procedure established by the Constitution of Ukraine, which e led to the death of thousands of people, including among the civilian population, and other grave consequences in the form of occupation of the territory of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol, part of the territory of Donetsk and Luhansk oblasts".

"Violating principles and norms of the international law, trying to strengthen its control over the occupied territories through the legalization of representatives of the occupational administration and, at the same time, creating the illusion of "freedom of choice and democracy", authorities of the Russian Federation hold events on the organization and holding of the so-called "election of head of the DNR and deputies of the people's council of the DNR in settlements of the temporarily occupied territory of Donetsk oblast on November 11, 2018, what is a continuation of criminal actions, aimed at violating the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine, changing the boundaries of its territory and the state border in violation of the procedure established by the Constitution of Ukraine", - the prosecutor's office noted.

According to the sanction of the article, the persons committing criminal acts to implement these illegal measures are threatened with imprisonment for a term from ten to fifteen years or life imprisonment with confiscation of property or without it.

The "elections" of leaders and "deputies" of CADLO were appointed on November 11 by the Kremlin's behest. The world community unequivocally states that the intentions of occupation administration of the Russian Federation to hold "early elections" in the temporarily occupied territories of Donbass crudely violate Russia's obligations as a signatory to the Minsk agreements.

As previously reported, users in social networks reported that posters about responsibility for participation in the pseudo-election of the "LNR" were placed on the territory of Luhansk region controlled by Ukraine. "SBU warns: participation in the elections of CALO is high treason. Everyone will be discovered", - the inscription said.

Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine Oleksandr Turchynov stated that the organizers and participants of the fake "elections" in CADLO would bear criminal responsibility.
