The leader of the "DPR" states that there is no "de-ukrainization" on the occupied territory of Donetsk region

The leader of the so-called "DPR" Alexander Zakharchenko said that there was no "de-ukrainization" on the occupied territory of Donetsk region, - said the separatist DAN website.

Thus, answering the question about renaming the Shevchenko boulevard in Donetsk, Zakharchenko said: "There is a lot of misinformation and fake from the Ukrainian side, but there is no decision on renaming the Shevchenko Boulevard boulevard after Kadyrov... It's a great Ukrainian writer, our history, we are not going to change it, we aren’t talking about de-ukrainization. It is a language spoken by our citizens."

At the same time, it was previously reported that the number of hours of the Ukrainian language and literature were reduced in schools on the occupied territory. Such subject as History of Ukraine also disappeared from the curriculum.
