Earthquake occured in Azov Sea on border between Ukraine and Russia

An earthquake with a magnitude of 4.7 points occurred on October 15 on the border between Ukraine and Russia in the Sea of Azov. This is reported by 112.ua with reference to the Euro-Mediterranean Seismological Center.

According to the agency, tremors recorded at a depth of 10 km at 13:42.

The epicenter of the earthquake was located 58 km from Berdiansk, Zaporizhia oblast.

At the same time, the Russian Emergency Ministry Directorate for the Krasnodar Territory, citing the geophysical service of the Russian Academy of Sciences, reports that the magnitude was 4.3 points.

According to the Mariupol news website, the residents of Mariupol whose houses are located close to the coast felt the tremors, as in an earthquake.

Mariupol already felt seismic forces two years ago - in August and September 2016. The earthquake was recorded just 21 kilometers from the town of Stary Krym, and the second one - on the border of Ukraine and Romania.
