Putin's man, managing South Ossetia, will oversee the illegal elections in the occupied Donbass

Russia will control the illegal election of "heads" and "deputies" of the terrorist "DNR/LNR" through a high-ranking officer of the Presidential Border Cooperation Office of the Russian Federation, Aleksey Filatov. This was told by the director of the Center for Political Studies Alexey Chesnakov, reports TASS.

Filatov took part in the Moscow meeting of the Russian presidential aide Vladislav Surkov with the leader of the terrorist “DNR” Denis Pushilin.

“The meeting was attended by a senior official of the Presidential Border Cooperation Office Aleksey Filatov, who now oversees humanitarian and political interaction with the "DNR/LNR". In particular, he is responsible for interacting with the Donbass on election campaign issues. Filatov replaced the resigned Maxim Polyakov", - Chesnakov said.

He recalled that Filatov had been in charge of relations with South Ossetia, was doing a good job and was promoted.

As previously reported, Russia actually annexed a part of Georgia, creating a quasi-state under its control called the Republic of South Ossetia on its territory.
