The prosecutor's office of the Luhansk oblast sent an indictment against the so-called “commander” of the “people's militia of the LNR” to the court, the press service of the department reports.

During the pre-trial investigation, it was established that the resident of the Luhansk oblast had participated in the illegal activities of the “6th Separate Motorized Rifle Cossack Regiment named after Matfey Platov” since May 2014 in the position of the so-called “artillery battery commander”.

In addition, it was found that the accomplice of the militants lured a minor into criminal activities who, via mobile communications and the social network VKontakte, reported the locations of the fortifications of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Popasnyanskiy district in order to conduct artillery shelling on the positions of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

Since the militant is hiding from the investigating authorities and the court in order to evade criminal responsibility, a special preliminary investigation procedure has been carried out with respect to the latter, as a result of which the indictment was sent to court.

For committing criminal offenses, this person faces up to 15 years imprisonment with or without confiscation of property.
