Accused of killing colonel of SBU Kharaberiush receives 12 years in prison

Resident of Donetsk Yuliya Prasolova has received twelve years in prison for the murder of the Security Service of Ukraine's colonel Oleksandr Kharaberiush, who was blown up in his car in Mariupol. The decision was made by the Ilchevsk district court of Mariupol, - Ukrainian News reports with the reference to the court's press service.

"The accused was sentenced to 12 years in prison. The trial was conducted behind closed doors to ensure security", - a spokesman for the court's press service reported.

The verdict was passed on September 25. As of October 4, the appeal against the verdict is not filed.

At the end of March 2017, a car was blown up in a residential area of Mariupol, resulting in the death of officer of the SBU, Colonel Oleksandr Kharaberiush. In October 2017, the Security Service of Ukraine detained a young woman in Odessa, suspected of blowing up.
