Lithuania is ready to implement a large-scale project to restore infrastructure in the Donetsk oblast. The Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Republic of Lithuania in Ukraine Marius Yanukonis said this in an interview with Ukrainski Interes.

He noted that the Lithuanian government really has intentions to spend almost one million euros to support the Donbass. "And we hope that in the next year's budget there will be an increase in the amount of financing for such projects. We really want to implement a more large-scale infrastructure rehabilitation project, such as a school or any other facility. Now we are working with the Donetsk regional administration on what exactly to restore", - the ambassador said.

As for the information that Lithuania takes patronage over Avdiivka or another city, according to Marius Yanukonis, it is still too early to talk about it.

"But we have plans to do more for the Donbass, and we are waiting for the approval of the corresponding budget by the government", - he said.
