Poroshenko signed changes to the law on the peculiarities of state policy in the occupied Donbass at the front line

President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko, who is now in the frontline part of the Donetsk oblast, has signed the Law of Ukraine "On amendments to some laws of Ukraine in connection with passage of the Law of Ukraine "On the peculiarities of state policy on ensuring Ukraine's state sovereignty over temporarily occupied territories in Donetsk and Luhansk regions", - OsrtroV's correspondent reports.`

According to the president, this law ensures and guarantees protection of the Ukrainian military. "I am convinced that we are moving in the right direction", - he noted.

The law was signed in frontline Avdiivka in the presence of the JFO fighters, chief of the General Staff Viktor Muzhenko and commander of the Joint Forces Operation Serhiy Nayev.

The law amends a number of laws of Ukraine. For example, participants in measures to ensure national security and defense, repulse and deter armed aggression of the Russian Federation in the Donetsk and Luhansk oblasts are granted the right to use state guarantees provided for participants in anti-terrorist operation (ATO).

The law also stipulates guarantees to ensure the appropriate level of social protection for various categories of citizens.
