The amount of compensation from the local budget, which is paid to residents of Sloviansk, who lost housing during the armed hostilities in 2014, can be increased 10 times in 2019. This was reported by mayor of Sloviansk Vadym Liakh, - Delovoy Sloviansk reports.

According to him, the issue of rendering assistance to citizens left without shelter is not regulated by law, and repeated appeals of the city council to the highest organs of state power on this issue are left without attention. Therefore, people have no choice but to hope for the help of local authorities.

On a mission to develop a program to increase compensation, Liakh addressed the management of the social services office at a meeting of the executive committee.

Up to the present day, the amount of compensatory payments was $36.5. If the deputy corps approves the mayor's initiative, this amount will increase to $365.
