The situation in the sphere of employment of internally displaced persons has worsened in Ukraine. This is evidenced by the data of the last round of the survey conducted by the International Organization for Migration and the United Nations Migration Agency, OstroV’s correspondent reports.

As of June 2018, 42% of IDPs were employed, which reflects a decrease in the level of employment by 6% compared to March of this year.

At the time of the survey, 11% of IDPs were actively looking for a job and were ready to start working within two weeks.

According to the interviewed IDPs, the difficulties they encountered in their search for work consisted of low pay, lack of job offers and discrimination by the employer in connection with the status of an IDP or their age.

The survey was conducted in June 2018. 2406 respondents were interviewed personally and 4006 - by phone.
