The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has adopted the strategy for information reintegration of the Donetsk and Luhansk oblasts, developed by the Ministry of Information Policy. A corresponding decision was made at a government meeting today, - OstroV's correspondent reports.

"It is no secret that, along with the occupation of the territory, there is an active, strategic and systemic occupation of the consciousness of about 4 million Ukrainian citizens in the occupied territory", - Deputy Minister of Information Policy Emine Japarova said while presenting the document.

According to her, the Ukrainians in the occupied territory are being lumbered with myths about civil war, Ukrainian punishers and artificially cultivated fake identity of the so-called "citizen of the DNR-LNR".

"We believe that the proper development of communications and strategic approach on our part with key audiences, including residents of the occupied territories, Ukrainian society and international community, is an important prerequisite for the restoration of territorial integrity and Ukrainian sovereignty over the occupied territories", - the deputy minister noted.

Emine Japarova stressed that it is necessary to develop communication around a person: "From our point of view, this kind of humanitarian approach is the most rational from the point of view of the state policy formation".

According to the politician, the goal of the strategy, which was presented, is the full access of citizens in the occupied territory to the common national Ukrainian information space.

In this regard, it is planned to expand the broadcasting zone of Ukrainian TV and radio companies from the territories adjacent to the occupied ones, create and distribute special content for residents of the occupied territories and conduct comprehensive work with IDPs.

The strategy also states that Ukrainians living in the occupied territory of Donbass are hostages to the occupation.
