The introduction of the federal system of governance in Ukraine, as one of the solutions for establishing peace in the Donbass, is not supported by almost 53% of the surveyed Ukrainians, and less than 30% consider this idea acceptable. This is evidenced by the results of a sociological poll conducted by GfK Ukraine and presented on Thursday in Kyiv, Interfax-Ukraina reports.

29.8% of respondents consider the introduction of the federal system in Ukraine unacceptable in any case, 23% believe that the federalization is unacceptable. At the same time, 12.8% of respondents consider the federal system to be completely acceptable, and 16.5% are more likely to accept it.

At the same time, 17.9% of respondents found it difficult to give an answer.

The survey was conducted using telephone interviews with calls to mobile phones and random phone numbers from April 14 to May 2, 2018. 1975 respondents took part in it, 536 of them were from the territory of the Donetsk and Luhansk oblasts controlled by Kyiv. The poll was conducted in all oblasts of Ukraine, with the exception of the occupied part of the Donetsk and Luhansk oblasts and the Autonomous Republic of Crimea. The statistical sampling error for Ukraine is no more than 2.5%, for the Donetsk and Luhansk oblasts - no more than 4.9%.
