Three police officers, who denuded the vehicle from a resident of Donetsk region, may face up to 12 years in prison

Three police officers of the Myrotvorets squadron, who denuded the car from a local resident, will be tried in Donetsk region, - reports the press service of the regional prosecutor's office.

The Investigation Department of the Prosecutor's Office of Donetsk region completed a pre-trial investigation of the criminal proceedings against the police officers on the fact of a criminal offense under Chapter 2 of the Article 187 (robbery) and Chapter 3 of the Article 289 (misappropriation of a vehicle by a group of people) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.

"It is traced that in July this year in Alexandro-Shultino of Konstantinovsk district in Donetsk region unknown people in camouflage uniform by using violence and threatening with an automatic firearm, denuded a car of a local resident, as well as documents on the vehicle, his mobile phone and money" - said the statement.

Investigators of the Prosecutor's Office of Donetsk region together with the police made a search of the place of the Myrotvorets squadron dislocation in Dzerzhinsk of Donetsk region, during which they seized the stolen vehicle, documents, the phone of the victim, as well as automatic weapons, which was used when committing the crime.

Three officers of the Myrotvorets patrol duty police squadron of special operation are reported to be suspected of committing the crime.

Now the indictment is sent to the court for consideration on the merits.

Law enforcers may face up to 12 years in prison.
