The situation in the East of Ukraine remains serious, Russia is particularly responsible for this. NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg stated this at a joint briefing with President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko during the NATO summit in Brussels, Ukrainska Pravda reports.

"All NATO member states strongly condemn Russia’s illegal and illegitimate annexation of Crimea, which we do not and will not recognize. NATO maintains a firm position in support of the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine”, - he stated.

Commenting on the situation in the Donbass, the Secretary General noted the non-compliance with the Minsk agreements.

"In the East of Ukraine, the situation remains serious with the daily violation of the ceasefire regime and human rights... Russia is particularly responsible for this. We urge Russia to cease all its support to militant groups and to withdraw troops, equipment, and mercenaries from the territory of Ukraine", - he told.
