The deputy of the Verkhovna Rada from the Petro Poroshenko Bloc faction, the secretary of the committee for national security and defense Ivan Vinnyk advocates the finalization of the bill No. 6688 on blocking websites with the involvement of experts from the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) before its consideration in the first reading in the parliament. He stated this at a round table organized by the National Union of Journalists of Ukraine, Ukrainski Novyny reports.

According to Vinnyk, the committee on national security intends to invite OSCE experts, the European advisory mission, the United States and the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO).

"Provided that we receive some positive comments that the text of the bill is in accordance with the European principles of observance of human rights and freedoms, after the relevant comments of this project, we will finalize it and the bill will be considered", - he said.

Vinnyk noted that if the draft law appears on the agenda at the current plenary week (July 10-13), the committee would ask to withdraw the document for its consideration with the involvement of OSCE experts.

As previously reported, the Security Service of Ukraine supported the law on the blocking of websites after its failure in the Parliament. On July 5, the Verkhovna Rada refused to consider the bill No. 6688 on the possibility of blocking websites by the decision of the prosecutor or investigator. Only 158 deputies voted (with the minimum required 226) for inclusion to the agenda and consideration of the bill.
