"No to closure of mines!". Miners picket the Verkhovna Rada (PHOTO/VIDEO)

Several hundred miners from all over Ukraine are holding a protest rally under the walls of the Verkhovna Rada, OstroV’s correspondent reports.

They demand to pay off debts on wages, and also to accept the bill on allocation of means for support of coal industry.

The miners hold the posters "No to closure of mines!", "Where is our salary?", "The coal industry needs support".

Earlier, the budget committee did not support draft law 8362 "On Amendments to the Law of Ukraine "On the State Budget of Ukraine for 2018" regarding decent financial support for the public sector of the coal industry.
