Video surveillance on the Donbass line of demarcation is installed to combat trafficking in goods

The video surveillance equipment is installed along the contact line in the Donbass to identify the facts of illegal movement of goods. This was stated by Deputy Commander of the JFO Colonel Oleksandr Domansky during a briefing in Kramatorsk, the press center of the JFO reports.

According to him, in order to implement operational information, to prevent the movement of arms, ammunition, explosive, drugs and psychotropic substances, radioactive materials and toxic chemicals, goods (cargo) to or from the area of JFO with violation of the requirements of the current legislation, joint mobile groups of employees of the National Police of Ukraine and the State Fiscal Service of Ukraine are operating there. In addition, video surveillance equipment is installed along the contact line.

Also, the command of the JFO in the Donbass is ready to cooperate with citizens and public organizations in order to combat illicit trafficking in goods on the line of demarcation.

"In June, the joint forces revealed 88 facts of violation of goods moving and economic activities. As a result of the measures taken, a detailed inspection of more than 165 thousand vehicles and more than 1.2 million citizens was carried out”, - said Domansky.

According to him, during June, goods worth $350 thousand were withdrawn from illegal circulation. It is almost three times more than in May.

In total, since the beginning of the JFO, illegal goods worth more than $480 thousand were confiscated in the zone of demarcation.
