Ukraine has handed over an official letter on behalf of 38 countries to the UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres before his visit to Russia with the request to assist in the liberation of Oleh Sentsov and all other political hostages from Russian captivity. This is reported by the Ukrainian mission to the UN on Twitter.
"YelchenkoUN (Ukraine's Ambassador to the UN – ed.), on behalf of Ukraine, EU, US, Turkey, Georgia, Moldova, Canada, Australia, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Switzerland conveyed to UNSG a joint letter seeking his support in facilitating the release of Oleg Sentsov & other Ukrainian political prisoners detained by Russia", - the report said.
