More than 6,000 violations of the ceasefire were recorded in the Donbass for the past week. This was announced by the Principal Deputy Chief Monitor of the OSCE Special Monitoring Mission to Ukraine Alexander Hug today at a briefing in Kyiv, - OstroV’s correspondent of reports.

"There has been little change in the East of Ukraine in the last week, an uninterrupted series of acts of violence is repeating... There were more than 6,000 violations of the ceasefire regime", - he said.

According to Alexander Hug, many violations of the cease-fire regime were noted in the Mariupol direction.

"On May 22, our observers, who were in Mariupol, heard about 400 explosions from the artillery fire for 45 minutes in a row", - he said.

He noted that, despite the pledges of the parties to stop the fire within the 15-kilometer zone from the Donetsk filtering station, the ceasefire regime is not respected.

"Every day and every night bullets and shells are flying around the DFS, threatening the life and health of station employees and observers of the OSCE SMM. Recently, we have recorded about 500 violations of the ceasefire in this area", - he added.
