The OSCE mission cannot say for sure who fired at their patrol in Maryenka in mid-January

Special Monitoring Mission of the OSCE hasn’t determined exactly yet who had fired atthe patrol of the SMM of the OSCE in Maryenka on January 16^th. This was stated by Deputy Head of the Special Monitoring Mission of the OSCE Alexander Hug today at the press conference in Kiev, - reports the correspondent of OstroV.

"One of our patrols was fired on January 16^th. We have not determined which side is guilty for the shelling, but we have addressed to JCCC and asked to investigate this attack,"- he said.

According to him, the military leaders of both parties of the conflict must investigate this incident.

"The mission is not a police force that can conduct an investigation. Parties must ensure safe movement of the mission", - said A.Hug.

As previously reported, patrol of the SMM of the OSCE was attacked in Maryenka on January 16^th, 2016.
