Brazilian mercenary of the "DNR" was arrested for two months

The Pavlohrad district court of the Dnipropetrovsk oblast has placed Brazilian Rafael Lusvargi, who fought on the side of the self-proclaimed "DNR", under detention. This is reported by Hromadske.

Lusvargi was sentenced to 60 days. "The judicial panel considers it justified to keep the accused in custody. The house imprisonment or bail cannot be applied to persons accused under Article 258 of the Criminal Code", - the judge read out the decision.

Earlier, the media discovered that Lusvargi lives in the Holocaust Holosiyevo Monastery of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of the Moscow Patriarchate. In January 2017, the Pechersk district court sentenced him to 13 years in prison for participating in the creation of a terrorist organization and armed formations, but in August, the Kyiv Court of Appeal reversed the verdict and returned the case to the first instance court because of a number of violations. In late 2017, the Brazilian was released under a personal recognizance.

On May 7, the Pavlohrad district court of the Dnipropetrovsk oblast heard the petition of the prosecutor's office to apply a measure of restraint for the Brazilian suspect of terrorism.
