Situation in the area of Joint' Forces Operation worsened

The situation in the area of the Joint' Forces Operation has worsened: the militants mounted 80 attacks on the AFU positions over the past 24 hours, - press center of the JFO reports.

The armed hostilities continued throughout the line of contact.

"Hostilities were most active near the settlements of Krymske, Novotoshkivske, Luhanske, Avdiivka, Pisky, Troitske and Shyrokyne. The militants opened fire 22 times with the use of artillery systems and mortars. There were two tank attacks. The JFO units responded adequately and were engaged in active defense", - the report said.

"The occupants continue to flagrantly violate international humanitarian law. Yesterday, on May 6, they twice fired 152 and 122 mm guns to shell the villages of Zaitseve and Nikolske on the outskirts of Horlivka of the Donetsk oblast", - the press center noted.

In the early hours of May 7, the militants were active both in the Luhansk and Donetsk directions.

During the active defensive operations over the past day, the losses of the United Forces amounted to one killed and four wounded. Now the wounded are provided with qualified medical assistance in the hospital.

According to Ukrainian intelligence, the AFU fighters inflicted losses to militants, three were killed and five were injured.
